The Plateau state Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), have directed all the civil servants in the state to embark on an indefinite strike.
Government-owned establishments were yesterday snubbed as most functionaries stayed at home.
NLC State Chairman, Jibrin Bancir, gave the directive while briefing reporters recently on the occasion of the 2015 Workers Day.
According to him, labour had for a long time negotiated with the state government for the peaceful resolution of their dispute, the discussed terms of agreement all ended in a deadlock.
Bancir further pointed out the issues, which are; outstanding arrears of minimum wage, non-payment of salaries and promotion of staff.
