US Government Maintains $7 Million Bounty on Boko Haram Leader, Abubakar Shekau’s Head!

The United States State Department has released a list of the world’s most wanted terrorist with the bounties on their head, as reported by Pulse. The list has a total of 71 most wanted terrorists in the world with a total bounty of $375 or N74.6 billion.
 The leader of Boko Haram, Abubakar Shekau is still on the list and the US governement has maintained the bounty of $7 million (N1.4 billion) on his head. At the top of the list is the alleged ‘doctor and advisor’ to Osama Bin Laden (now deceased) and his name is Ayman Al-Zawahiri. He carries a bounty of $25 million.
Four Islamic State terrorists appeared on the list with a total of $20 million bounty on them.
The list also includes senior members of the Islamic State Group (ISIS), Al-Qaeda, Al-Shabaab and two female members of a Turkish military/political party and the terrorist group, Revolutionary People’s Liberation Party/Front.
Finding and apprehending the Boko Haram leader has been the top priority of the Nigerian Army and it is believed that he has fled the country with the assistance of ISIS since the two terrorist groups forged an alliance in March.
